Crime Stoppers USVI needs help solving past homicides, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Ivor James Jr., a 20-year-old, also known as “King James” of Estate Mt. Pleasant on St. Croix, was shot and killed while working as a security guard at the Carambola Hotel. James was shot sometime between 1:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2009.

According to police reports, the St. Croix 911 Emergency Call Center received a report Sunday morning of a body that had sustained multiple gunshot wounds near Carambola Hotel. He was last seen by co-workers alive at his post around 1:00 a.m. and his body was later found approximately 200 yards from the hotel entrance at around 6:30 a.m.

On Jan. 29, 911 received reports of several shots being fired in the area of Bolongo, St. Thomas. Responding officers arrived in the area and discovered one victim who appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds. EMTs arrived on the scene and concluded that the male did not have any vital signs. The deceased victim was identified as 31-year-old Chandler Heath.
