The St. John Historical Society to Host ‘The Amazing Historical Hunt in Cruz Bay’ on April 1

St. John Historical Society

The St. John Historical Society is sponsoring a free event entitled “The Amazing Historical Hunt in Cruz Bay” for children on St. John in grades 3 to 8 which will consist of teams of up to four children with an adult volunteer.

The event will take place at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 1, at the Lutheran Church Hall, and it will end at 1 p.m. The teams will solve fun clues to historical and other places in Cruz Bay, receive t-shirts for the event, enjoy a pizza party after the event and earn prizes for the winners.

Participants need to bring a refillable water bottle, a hat, sunscreen and good walking shoes. Children will have to pre-register by March 20 so the St. John Historical Society knows how many children are participating. Parents must sign a permission slip for each child registered for the event. Registration applications can be picked up at local schools or sent by email to parents directly.

Volunteers to supervise the teams are needed. Please contact the society by e-mail at contactus@stjohnhistoricalsociety.org or by phone at 344-4303 if interested in registering as a volunteer for the event or would like more information about the event.

The event is being sponsored by Catered To, First Bank, B. J. Harris, Friends of the Park, American Paradise Real Estate, Holiday Homes, Skinny Legs, and Windspree.
