Committee on Education and Workforce Development

Agenda:

The committee has scheduled a hearing to receive testimony on the following:

BLOCK I

9:30 a.m. to Noon

The committee will receive testimony from the Virgin Islands Department of Education on the expenditures of all federal funds to also include the Carl D. Perkins Grant. The committee will also receive testimony on the School Management Accountability Report to include School Facility Conditions and Planned Improvements (School Maintenance) as per Title 17, chapter 3. section 24 of the Virgin Islands Code.

LUNCH – Noon to 12:30 p.m.

BLOCK II

12:30 – 3:30 p.m.

The committee will receive testimony from the Virgin Islands Department of Education on the executive plans for the 2020-2021 reopening of schools.

BLOCK III

3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.

The committee will receive testimony on the current curriculum and instruction plans as well as initiatives by education stakeholders.
