St. John Administrator Leona Smith will host a town hall meeting on Monday, March 17, at the St. John Legislature from 6 to 8 p.m. Representatives from V.I. Port Authority, Division of Motor Vehicles, V.I. Police Department, Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs, the Taxi Commission, as well as the V.I. National Park will address issues and concerns regarding taxi operations on St. John.
The meeting is being called to address the concerns of the St. John community, inclusive of taxi customer service, tariffs, fares, and other issues, according to Smith.
The St. John Administrator will continue to host meetings with members of the community in an effort to promote open dialogue and in order to provide for a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable living environment. The town meeting is open to the general public.
