On Sunday, the St. Croix Marine Corp Association, together with the VI Housing Authority, will visit eight public housing locations to deliver toys collected by Marines and sent to St. Croix.
The tentative order of visits is as follows:
D. Hamilton: 10:00 am-10:40 a.m.
Alphonso Piggy Gerard: 10:50 a.m. -11:20 a.m.
John F. Kennedy: 11:30 a.m. -12:10 p.m.
Candido Guadelupe: 12:30 p.m. -1:10 p.m.
Aureo Diaz Heights: 1:20 p.m. -1:50 p.m.
Mt. Pleasant: 2:00 p.m. -2:30 p.m.
Williams Delight: 2:45 p.m. -3:20 p.m.
Marley Homes & Additions: 3:30 p.m. -4:00 p.m.
The gifts will be loaded in trucks and vans, each intended for a specific age group. A team of Marines, VIHA and volunteers will assist with guiding the children to the right line for their age group. The teams will have rosters to verify the age, gender and resident status of each child receiving gifts.
The teams will gather at the Farm Pod warehouse, a large building just west of Leatherback Brewing in the William Roebuck Industrial Park at 8 a.m. Additional volunteers would be welcomed.
