Two Glock Hand Guns Found in Man’s Luggage

A man was detained by US Customs and Border Protection on St. Thomas for being in possession of two Glock handguns, the V.I. Police Department reported Monday.

Detectives were informed Saturday that officers from US Customs and Border Protection detained a Black male with two Glock handguns, according to the police report.

When the detectives arrived, they made contact with US Customs and Border Protection officers, and a Black male, later identified as JahMarley Parris, was found to be in possession of two Glock handguns which were found in his luggage, the police report stated.

Parris was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Criminal Investigation Bureau, where he was booked and processed.  Parris, age 24, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and failure to declare/register firearm. Unable to post his $50,000 bail, Parris was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing, police said.
