Two Men Arrested for Alleged Possession of Illicit Sexual Content

Two St. Thomas men turned themselves into police Wednesday for possessing videos depicting illicit sexual content, the V.I. Police Department reported.

On Dec. 19, 2022, detectives were dispatched to Cowpet Bay West to investigate an incident where it was revealed that two men had in their possession video images/videos depicting illicit sexual content, according to the police report.

On March 22, warrants of arrest were secured by detectives for both Jermain Turnbull and Zeff Blyden, the police report stated.

On April 5 at approximately 1:50 p.m., Jermain Turnbull turned himself in at the US Marshal’s Office at the Ron DeLugo Federal Building. Detectives took Turnbull into custody without incident. On the same date, at 4:47 p.m., Blyden, accompanied by legal counsel, surrendered himself to the Richard Callwood Command, the report stated.

48-year-old Turnbull and 51-year-old Blyden were arrested and charged with prohibition of visual medium depicting sexually explicit conduct and bail in the matter was set at $20,000.00 for both parties, police said.

This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
