The USVI Soccer Association has announced the selection of the U.S. Virgin Islands Under-15 Male National Soccer team. The association has been preparing the 15-Male national team to participate in an upcoming CONCACAF 2019 U15 Championship Tournament, to be held Aug. 4-12.
Many young men have been training diligently for several months throughout the territory for the opportunity to proudly represent the USVI. Not everyone could be selected, as tournament regulations allow 18 players and five staff members per national delegation. Thus, the coaching staff has picked the most dedicated and skilled young men.
The delegation will depart the territory for a Pre-Tournament Training Camp on July 26 in Orlando, Fla. At the end of the camp, they will travel to Bradenton Fla., where the tournament is being held at IMG Academy, from Aug. 4-12.
There are 42 countries from the Caribbean, South America, Central America, North America, Europe and Africa participating in one of CONCACAF’s largest youth soccer developmental tournaments.
