The Virgin Islands State Health Insurance Assistance Program (VI SHIP) will hold outreach events for all Medicare beneficiaries during December, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor announced Tuesday.
The following is the schedule of upcoming events:
St. Croix
Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the University of the Virgin Islands Great Hall
St. Thomas
Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the University of the Virgin Islands Innovation Center
St. John
Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Bellevue Village Community Center
Attendees will:
- Learn about VI SHIP available services.
- Understand your Medicare coverage and available options.
- Education on Medicare mental health benefits.
- Learn about Medicare fraud errors and abuse from Senior Medicare Patrol.
- Presentations by licensed mental health professionals.
