VINP Celebrates Public Lands Day September 29th with Fee Free Day

Trunk Bay

The user fee will be waived at Trunk Bay on Saturday, September 29.

In observance of National Public Lands Day, Virgin Islands National Park Service will be waiving User Fees at Trunk Bay on September 29.

The intent of the “Fee Free” declaration is to encourage people to enjoy and learn more about the stewardship of national parks and other Federal lands.

Trunk Bay is one of the most visited beaches on St. John, and is home to an underwater trail. One is able to snorkel over the reef, and read the plaques which identify coral and fish along the trail.

Virgin Islands National Park/Coral Reef National Monument management and staff invite the public to join in celebrating these precious national parks. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy these national treasures free of charge.

For more information contact Andrea Joseph, Fee Program Coordinator at 776-6201, ext. 249.
