VIPA to Temporarily Close and Relocate St. Thomas Administrative Departments

Vendors positioned themselves for a prime spot across from cruise ships in port Wednesday at the Crown Bay Center.
Some VIPA administrative offices will be moved to Crown Bay Center through April 30, 2019.

The Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA) informs the public that some of its administrative departments on St. Thomas will be temporarily relocated from Dec. 1, 2018 through April 30, 2019. While VIPA’s administrative building near the Cyril E. King Airport is being renovated to repair hurricane damages, the following departments are moving and will now be adjacent to the Crown Bay Center’s main office in Building A, 161-A Sub Base.

Accounting (including the cashier’s station)
Human Resources
Legal
Engineering and Maintenance
Executive Office
Internal Audit
Public Relations

All offices at the Administrative Building on St. Thomas will be closed Nov. 27 – 30 while employees are moving their equipment and setting up their temporary workstations in Crown Bay. Although the departments will be relocated to Crown Bay Center, the mailing address and the main telephone number remain unchanged:
