U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Federation referee instructor Robert Ferrell II has been selected by Concacaf to participate in the 2026 Concacaf Referee & Instructor Academy Consolidation, one of the region’s premier referee development programs.
Ferrell will represent the U.S. Virgin Islands at the academy, scheduled for July 29 through Aug. 7 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, alongside the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games. The program brings together referee instructors and match officials from across the Concacaf region for advanced technical training, fitness evaluations, educational sessions and performance assessments conducted throughout the tournament.
The U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Federation said Ferrell’s appointment reflects the continued growth of referee development within the territory and represents one of the federation’s most significant international referee appointments in recent years.
The federation congratulated Ferrell on the selection, saying it is proud to see him represent both the organization and the U.S. Virgin Islands on the regional stage.
Officials said the federation remains committed to working with Concacaf to strengthen referee education and promote excellence and professionalism at every level of the game.
