The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the public that due to Tropical Storm Fiona, all landfills and Convenience Centers will close at noon, Saturday, Sept. 17. As a result of the approaching tropical storm, the Anguilla Landfill will not be accepting “green waste” due to excessively muddy conditions.
Please use extra caution, observe all safety regulations, and allow more time when visiting VIWMA landfills and convenience centers due to situations that may arise from Tropical Storm Fiona.
