The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) embarked on a heartwarming mission last week by spreading the festive spirit across the territory one carol at a time.

WAPA’s caroling team visited several locations, including the Lucinda Millin Home and Nana Baby’s Children’s Home on St. Thomas, as well as the Flambouyant Gardens Senior Living and Prince Street Assisted Living Residence on St. Croix.

Decked out in seasonal attire, the WAPA team members had a wonderful time singing many local favorites from, “Mama Bake Your Johnny Cake” to “Good Morning (Guavaberry Song)” and timeless melodies like “Silent Night” and “Joy to the World.”

In the true spirit of giving, WAPA also extended the joy of the season by distributing giveaways to both the elderly and the children present, fostering a sense of togetherness and warmth during this special time of year.

“WAPA recognizes the profound significance of connecting with our community’s most vulnerable members, especially during the holiday season,” said Shanell Petersen, director of corporate communications.

“We were thrilled to share the magic of the holidays with the residents of Lucinda Millin Home, Nana Baby’s Children’s Home, Flambouyant Gardens Senior Living, and Prince Street Assisted Living Residence. Bringing smiles and spreading joy embodies the true essence of this special time of year, and we are honored to be a part of creating these moments,” Petersen said.
