As of Saturday, Aug. 2, the National Hurricane Center is now watching a couple of areas across the Atlantic basin for possible cyclonic development over the next seven days. While no hurricanes are expected to directly affect the U.S. Virgin Islands in the immediate future, individuals are urged to follow the latest updates from the NHC at hurricanes.gov.
