Wha’s Happ’nin’ by Sis Frank

Christmas Music Festival
I missed it, but my spy reporters tell me that the young Homemade Jamz Blues Band from Tupelo, Mississippi stole the show with the Jazz Islanders a close second! It was fun for all, gifts for the kids and a great parade! Thanks to Steve, Helen, Eddie and all who put it together!

Miss Apple had everything island resident’s needed at the former V.I. Aids store in Cruz Bay, above.

It’s Hard to Say Goodbye
We are having so many memorials these days, but sharing the good times in our friends’ lives seems to help get past that initial shock and sadness. We all have been blessed by the years that we spent together on St. John.

“Miss Annabelle” Apple made us laugh almost daily as she sold candy at V.I. Aids where Subway is now. We caught up on the news before buying the paper from Annabelle at Fred’s and then at the entrance to Connections. It was her big heart and colorful language that made her very special. My sincere sympathy to her friends and family.

Bob Farmer’s MemorialIs December 13th
It will be at Fred’s on Thursday, December 13 at 5:30 p.m. (bring your favorite dish). Bob’s favorite music will be played — friends can recall the good old days — stories will be told (not all of them) — causal dress — cash bar and snacks. Bob would not want us to be sad, so plan to share funny stories about our friend.
