Winston Churchill Phipps Dies

Winston Churchill Phipps died on Oct. 4.

He is survived by his wife, Helena Straker-Phipps; son, Winston Phipps Jr.; daughters: Joy Phipps-Harrigan, Denise Phipps-Tann, Diana Phipps and Kristen Phipps; grandchildren: Sean and Ryan Harrigan, and Eboni Phipps; mother-in-law, Cora Straker; brothers-in-law: Michael, Denver and Trevor Straker; sisters-in-law: Yolande Straker-Francis and Gloria Straker; sons-in-law: Kevin Tann and Sean Harrigan; adopted sister, Islyn Warner-Brown; and adopted brothers: Hiroy, Hubert and Stafford Warner.

Other survivors include godchildren: Ludulph Brown Jr., Cleofoster Browne, Jacklyn Green, Kimberly Isaac-Cherry, Monique Daniel and Kaleema Lewis; nephews: Donly and Cleofoster Browne, Freeston Lewis, Michael and Denver Straker, Ickford and Rolston Warner; and nieces: Janieel Samuel-Williams, Carmiesia and Tiffany Straker, Kiara and Keiana Francis, Selene Henry and Annie Gaymes-Antoine.

A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at Beeston Hill Wesleyan Holiness Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
