Yvette Viola Boynes Dies at 68

Yvette Viola Boynes of St. Thomas died Feb. 19, at the age of 68, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

She is survived by her husband, Anthon “Tony” Boynes; daughter, Antonette Boynes; adopted sons: Rhys Rawlins and Lamar Gregory; sisters: Donna Thomas, Hillary Turnbull, Cheryl and Carline Serrant; brothers: Curtney, Kelvin, Calinston and Vincent Serrant; brother-in-law, Berthton “Buchie” Turnbull; sister-in-law, Aretha Hurt-Serrant; aunts: Erselyn Jones, Merle Rogers, Dorothy Serrant, Ernestine Flowers, Ruby Degrass, Ruth Cole, Landa, Nola and Vernice Rogers; and uncles: Calvert Rogers, Vaughn Serrant and Pastor Ralph Rogers.

She is also survived by nieces: Danisha Donovan, Cecily Fahie-Tarver, Cherise and Cherile Fahie, Tiffany Thomas, Chrina, Julysha, Nicole Serrant and Celeste Walters; nephews: Nathaniel Serrant, Tighree and Theoius Thomas, Lamar Turnbull, Curdell, Jaurice and Jamaurion Serrant, Dariel Donovan, Cecil Jr. and Camoui Fahie, Jureyl, Kureyl, Kelvin Jr., Calinston Jr., Caleem and Ca’Mari Serrant and Sean Connor Jr.;  stepgrandchildren: Shadiyah Boynes, Kefer Smith Jr., Mario Charles and Pwedelle Charles; step great-grandchildren: Princess Boynes and Empress Boynes; as well as many other family members and friends too numerous to mention.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing that will take place at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, followed by funeral service at 10 a.m. at Wesley Methodist Church. Cremation will follow.
