Yvonne Marie Gordon Henry, also known as “Ms. Williams,” “Dr. Williams,” “Verna” and “Vern,” of Estate Sion Farm died on Feb. 7. She was 88 years old.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eulalie Venzen; father, Vernon Gordon; sister, America Smith Matthews; brothers: Vincent Gordon, Errol Smith, Herman Smith and Mario Smith; husband, Halvor Henry; daughter, Carolie D. Harrigan-Fabio; sons: Gregory A. Harrigan and Robert Williams; grandchildren: Lakisha Harrigan, Dudley “Third, DA” Fabio III, Calvin Fabio, Rissa Fabio, David Fabio, Austin Fabio, Anthony Fabio, Letisha Hetherington, Gregory “Greggie” Harrigan Jr., Matthew Harrigan, Chantel Gray-Williams, Rasson Gray-Williams, Velekia Wooten, Jason Thomas, Sa’Rai Leggett and Clifton “CJ” Leggett; and great- grandchildren: Shelia Fabio, Dahlia Fabio, Alijah “Delano” Lynch, Kaliera Fabio, LiKim Fabio, Ariella Fabio, Aniyah Fabio, Ava Parrilla, Hugh Fabio, Croix Fabio, Annalisa Fabio, Scarlett Williams, Malia Williams, Sarah Thomas, Alexandria Gray-Williams, Darren Fearon, Lea Hetherington, Laila Hetherington, Elle Heatherington, Karter Edwards, Skye Leggett, Uri Lindsey, Ah’nisa Leggett, Alissa Leggett and Ja’kelan Simmons.
She is also survived by her brothers: Norman Smith, Carl Smith and Allison “Ally” O’Neal; nieces: Waukeshiah Smith, Michelle Smith Sutton, Deanna Smith Benjamin, Mercedes Smith, Valicia Zimmerman, Anna Gordon, Jacqueline Gordon, Lydia Matthews Poole, Lisa, Denise Smith, Delores Smith and Winona Matthews McGann; nephews: Albert Smith, Walter Matthews, Samuel Matthews Jr., Kevin Smith, Hasani Smith, Tracey Harris and Vincent Gordon; great nieces: Angelica Smith, Adrian Smith, Alayna Smith, Addison River Smith; Essence Brown; a host of other great nieces too numerous to mention. great nephews: Vernon Walker, Vondrei Walker, Vyonte’ Walker; a host of other great nephews too numerous to mention; sisters-in-law: Joan Henry Nielsen, Ingle Du Henry, Annette O’Neal and Rita Harvey Henry; brothers-in-law: Lester Henry, Heraldo Henry and Lloyd Henry Sr.; daughter-in-law, Naomi Harrigan; son-in-law: Dudley “Ken” Fabio Jr.; and godchildren: Joanne Connor Moore, Ambrose “Amby” Connor, Harris children: Dedo, Danto, Delano and Derica, Brian Henderson, Sheldon Henderson, Sherise Henderson, Arnold “Chip” Barnes Jr., Jamila Christian and Kathleen “Kathy” Smith.

The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Lord God of Sabaoth Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
