ZoZo’s at the Sugar Mill thrilled early diners last week two days ahead of opening its new doors at the newly independent Caneel Bay Resort.
The popular St. John modern Italian restaurant closed up shop at its former location at Gallows Point Resort in late July when owner John Ferrigno announced plans for the eatery to relocate to the luxury resort Caneel Bay.
The restaurant, now called ZoZo’s at the Sugar Mill, took over the former location of the Equator Restaurant on Caneel’s property. Ferrigno, Executive Chef Michael Fortino and staff hosted a crowd of eager diners at a friends and family dinner on Wednesday, October 30, and officially opened for the season on Friday, November 1.
Early reviews were raves for both Fortino’s beloved dishes still available and his new creations found on the revisited menu and word seems to be spreading fast.
ZoZo’s at the Sugar Mill is open nightly at 5 p.m. for cocktails and begins seating for sunset at 5:30 p.m. The restaurant offers complimentary valet for guests driving to the property and can arrange use of the Caneel Bay ferry dock for diners coming from St. Thomas.
