DS200 Voting Machine

Early Voting for the 2019 Special Election began Saturday, March 16, and will conclude on Friday, March 22.

The Office of the Supervisor of Elections reports the early voting numbers on the first day of the early voting, March 16. The numbers of electors who have participated in Early Voting thus far are as follows: St. Croix –139, St. Thomas –125 and St. John–8.

Electors deposit their marked ballot into the DS200®, having the option of using a paper ballot or activator card using the Express Vote. The marked ballots are kept in a serialized sealed container for safe keeping until counted on Election Day (March 30, 2019).

The goal of the supervisor and the board of elections is to ensure a fair, accessible and transparent election. The Elections System encourages the public or poll watchers to visit any one of the election offices and view the process.

Early Voting will continue from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in all three elections offices on St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John until Friday, March 22.
