AARP – VI Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month With Virtual Concert

AARP in the Virgin Islands will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a virtual concert that will be hosted by AARP – VI in collaboration with the VI Council on the Arts.  It is scheduled to stream on Facebook as a LIVE event at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10.

Opening the event will be a performance by Romanza, a local Latin music band. Followed at 8:15 p.m. by Eddie Russell and his Band featuring Rivert Diaz on vocals and quelbe legend Stanley Jacobs on flute. These two bands will entertain the virtual audience with the sounds and rhythms of Latin America, including Latin jazz, salsa, merengue, bachata, boleros, etc.

The concert will be live-streamed on the AARP Virgin Islands Facebook page and simulcasted on the WTJX Facebook page.  Viewers can tune in to the AARP Virgin Islands Facebook page by searching for the local organization name in Facebook or by visiting Facebook.com/aarpvi.
