AgFair Weekend Plans Educational, Cultural Activities at Bordeaux Farmers’ Market

Vendor applications are available at the University of the Virgin Islands Cooperative Extension Service (UVI-CES) Office for the 34th St. Thomas-St. John Agriculture and Food Fair. The deadline for application submission is Friday, Oct. 26. The fair will be held on Nov. 17 and Nov. 18, at the Bordeaux Farmers’ Market. This year’s theme is “Strengthening Bonds, Building Bridges for a Better Farming Community.”

Vendors will meet with the committee at 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, at the Bordeaux Farmers’ Market for assigned fairground spots, advertising materials and other pertinent information.

The fair will open at 10 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. on both days. The official ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17. Fruits and vegetables, nursery plants, fruit trees, vegetable seedlings, local arts and crafts, prepared food and much more will be on sale.
This annual event is hosted by the St. Thomas-St. John Agriculture and Food Fair Committee in partnership with the UVI-CES, V.I. Department of Agriculture (DOA), We Grow Food Inc. and Fintrac. The cost is only $3 for those 12 years and older or $2 for youth 11 and under.
