Board of Real Estate Appraisers Offers Continuing Education Courses

The V.I. Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) Division of Boards and Commissions informs the public and licensees that the Virgin Islands Real Estate Appraisers’ Board will be offering continuing education hours for real estate appraisers.

Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) instructors Dennis Badger and Tom Veit, both of whom are certified by the Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB), have come to the U.S. Virgin Islands to teach the following two courses to licensees in the territory:
2020-2021 Seven-Hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Update Course; and, “Supporting Your Value Opinion.”

The courses will be offered at the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs on Monday, Dec. 9, on St. Thomas and Tuesday, Dec. 10, on St. Croix, both at 9 a.m.

The cost associated for the course is $150 each. This does not include the cost of the manuals, which are required for the course. Manuals for the 2020-21 Seven-Hour National USPAP Update Course are available for purchase from the Real Estate Appraisers Board for a cost of $50 each by check or money order only. Payments for courses and manuals must be made separately.

Individuals interested in taking either or both of these courses should notify the Office of Boards and Commissions by Nov. 22. RSVPs for this course must be made with payment on or before the date of the deadline.
