Caught on Surveillance VIPD Arrested Suspect After Domestic Incident

On Saturday police said the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of a domestic disturbance in the Castle Burke residential area. Upon the arrival, police made contact with the victim who said his brother attempted to assault him and damaged his vehicle. 

Allegedly the incident was caught on surveillance, which showed Sham Malaykhan, 36 damaging the victim’s vehicle. Malaykhan denied attempting to assault the victim or damaging the victim’s vehicle, said VIPD. 

Malaykhan was placed under arrest and was charged with destruction of property-DV and disturbance of the peace fighting. He was booked and no bail was set in this matter until he is seen by a judge. He was then transported to corrections advice of rights hearing set for May 1,  2023, according to press release.
