The Coral Bay Community Council’s (CBCC’s) candidates’ forum, originally scheduled for July 23, has been canceled. CBCC will host the Senator-at Large and Senatorial Candidates Forum from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 1, at the Coral Bay Caribbean Oasis Event Center.
The John’s Folly Learning Institute and the Coral Bay Community Council are planning to host several candidate forums in the coming months to allow residents of remote Coral Bay, including East End, Mandahl and Bordeaux, St. John, to hear the candidates’ thoughts on key issues affecting St. John and the U. S. Virgin Islands.
These will be conducted in a strict nonpartisan format, as is required for hosting by a nonprofit 501c3 organization, and will closely follow IRS rules to assure no bias for any candidate or party.
There will likely be food and drink for sale, but no alcoholic beverages are allowed.
