Coralie Casilla Henry Dies at 86

Coralie Casilla Henry

Coralie Casilla Henry, also known as “Ms. Coralie,” “Ms. Curl” or “Aunt Curly,” of Estate Whim died on Nov. 12. She was 86 years old.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Francis Phillip; and father, Willie Carr.

She is survived by her spouse, Wilfred A. Henry; daughters: Brenda Stevens (STX), Sharon Stevens-Roberts (STX) and Christine Guirty (Atlanta); adopted daughters: Icilma Francis Pigott (STX) and Bernadine Bailey Jones (USA); step daughters: Lynn and Shirley Henry (USA); step sons: Alexis Henry (USA), Melford Henry (St. Kitts), Rudolph Henry (USA) and Allan Henry (USA); grandchildren: Omari and Shelise Roberts (STX), Christian, Caleb and Caden Guirty (Atlanta); sisters: Gnynneth Carr, Glenda Carr Mills, Cynthia Carr Rose, Janet Heather Henry and Joycelyn Carr; brother, Patrick Carr; and nieces: Genevieve Carr Roebuck (STX), Vernice Henry (STT), Cordette Henry (STT), Pauline Jarvis (Fla.), Charlene Daniel (Fla.), and Coralie Carr Turner (STX).

She is also survived by nephews: Rueben Phillips, Jr. (Atlanta), Christopher Phillips (Atlanta), Rayshaun Dunn (USA), Damien Malphus (USA) and Ramel Burroughs (USA); great nieces: Marissa George (Fla.), Areece Phillips (Atlanta), Alaysia Phillips (Atlanta), Zyana Philips (Atlanta), Tah Janee Phillips (Atlanta) and Taelyn Phillips (Atlanta); great nephews: Brian Jarvis (ANU) and Kingston Phillips (Atlanta); aunts: Muriel Charles (STX) and Viola Friday (ANU); uncles: Robert Francis (ANU), Theodore Francis (ANU) and Maurice Francis (ANU); sons-in-law: Oral Roberts (STX) and Christopher Guirty (Atlanta); brothers-in-law: Henry C. Henry (England) and Rufus Henry (St. Kitts); and sister-In-law, Rosemarie Phillips (Atlanta).

The service of Thanksgiving for the life of the late Coralie Casilla Carr Henry will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Friedensberg Moravian Church, Frederiksted, St. Croix. A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a service at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Frederiksted Cemetery.
