Crime Stoppers Continues to Offer Rewards to Help Solve Homicides

Crime Stoppers has awarded $50,000 in rewards with the help of community members offering anonymous tips. Crime Stoppers continues to offer rewards and is once again in need of help solving homicide cases.

On Nov. 27, 2021, VIPD officers discovered a lifeless body with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body in the vicinity of Estate Whim after the 911 Emergency Call Center received many calls from concerned community members about shots being fired near Pine Drive, Frederiksted, St. Croix. The body was later identified as 40-year-old Arsdale Ferdinand of Estate Whim. Officers believe he was ambushed in the front of his house and shot multiple times by an unknown individual(s).

On Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at approximately 10 p.m., 30-year-old David “Donut” Payne Jr. was shot multiple times outside his house in Anna’s retreat on St. Thomas. Payne was the father of four children, a son, and a brother. He was also an elementary school teacher at the Ulla Muller Elementary school.
