Crime Stoppers Seeking Help With STX Murder, STT Shooting and STT Burglary

Crime Stoppers is focusing on three crimes this week, including finding the suspect in a June, 2021 murder.

Police Detectives on St. Thomas are investigating the non-fatal shooting of a man. On Friday, February 18, police officers responded to rapid gunfire in the area of Paul M. Pearson Gardens.

According to police, contact was made with the victim at the Schneider Regional Medical Center, who was being treated for a single gunshot wound to his lower extremity. The victim told the police, that he was walking in the area of First Avenue, when gunfire erupted. According to the victim, he began to run, fell to the ground and realized that he was shot.

On Tuesday, February 23, around 7 a.m. police got a 911 call reporting a possible burglary in the Prime Storage Units, Estate Thomas. Police report they found that several businesses at that location had been broken into. Management and several business owners at that location reportedly said they had left their businesses locked and secured on Feb. 2- around 11 p.m. and around 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 23, they their businesses had been broken into and that money and other items were gone.

On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 5:12 a.m., police got a 911 reporting a female down near the Schjang Ballpark in Estate St. John, St. Croix. Police reportedly found an unresponsive, adult woman on the western shoulder of the road. She was identified as “Nancy Nieves Naar.”

Crime Stoppers is seeking your assistance in locating “Tyler Delroy Smith” charged with first-degree murder in connection to the brutal murder of Nancy Nieves Naar. She was found beaten beyond recognition, according to police.
