Doris “Dotty” Sparks de Blanc, 82, passed away on Feb. 23 at her home in Macon, Ga. Dotty was born in Macon on July 29, 1939. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1961 and had a career in finance before moving to St. Thomas. She and her husband, Peter de Blanc, brought the internet to the Virgin Islands.
Dotty is survived by her husband’s four children. She was preceded in death by her parents: Marion Garten Sparks and Doris Huff Sparks; her brother, Marion Garten “Sparky” Sparks Jr.; and her husband, Peter de Blanc.
