Eleanor Rehenia Sealey of Walter I.M. Hodge died on July 1. She was 86 years old.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Miriam Weekes Douglas; father, Gerard Sealey; sisters: Alma Elskoe King and Terencia Sealey Monell; and grandchildren: Jaheem Williams and Nathan Heywood.
She is survived by her daughters: Rhonda Gittens, Sandra Heywood, Clintona Heywood, Melecia Heywood-Terrell and Debra Heywood; sons: Ricky Heywood, Emile Heywood III, Rubio Heywood and Dean Heywood; brother, Emmeth Sealey; nephew, Benny Elskoe; daughter-in-law, Sherry Simmonds Heywood; son-in-law, Jerry Terrell; and godchild, Sharon Tittle.
She is also survived by cousins and other relatives: Douglas Heywood and family, Iris James and family, Dorine Petty and family, Eleanor Sealey and family, Lynell Thomas and family and Robert “Imandi” Brady and family.
Other survivors include grandchildren: Dana Grant, Zomari Swanston, Parissa Terrell, Miniscia Nurse, Le’Joni David, Milanny Terrell, Ruby, Rubio Jr., Raheem, Khaleed and Ashoi Heywood, Rahema Heywood Yhan, Angela Delacoudray Petersen, Jimiyu Williams, Rukeiya, Rukeiyo, Rikisha and Rikiya Heywood, Rikeisma Heywood Noack, Emile, Carl, Alon, Natalia, Orion, Azon, Okeemo, Amelia, Emilia, Ameka, Malisha and Malik Solis; 56 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 3, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Viewing will begin at 9 a.m. with service at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
