Elections System to Hold Voter Registration Expo on Saturday, October 1

Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes informs the community of the Elections System’s annual National Voter Registration Expo. The expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, territory-wide. The expo is held bi-annually with the intent of promoting voter registration before the general election and the close of voter registration. The general election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, and the last day to register to vote is Sunday, Oct. 9.

Supervisor Fawkes said that this year, the expo has been expanded to include the island of St. John and will offer a larger number of vendors from the private and public sector, guest speakers and student participation.

The events will take place at the Elections System Offices on St. Croix, St. Thomas and at the Franklin Powell Sr. Bandstand, Cruz Bay, St. John. Live music will be provided by a DJ; face painting, a bouncy house and other entertainment will be provided for the children. The events are free of charge.
