Enthusiastic First Week of Early Voting

Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes is pleased with voter turnout after the first week of the 2022 General Election Early Voting. Early Voting is held daily and will continue from Monday, Oct. 17, to Monday, Oct. 31. Voting hours on St. Croix and St. Thomas are from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Voting hours on St. John are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Early Voting Locations are:

• District of St. Croix Elections Office-Sunny Isle Shopping Center Unit 26

• District of St Croix- St. Joseph Church Hospitality Lounge

• District of St. Thomas-St. John- St. Thomas- Lockhart Gardens (Upstairs Banco Popular)

• District of St. Thomas-St. John- St. Thomas-Tutu Park Mall (former Scotia Bank location)

• District of St. Thomas-St. John – Market Place Suite II

The number of electors who participated in Early Voting as of Sunday. October 16, 2022, is as follows: St. Thomas-1,798, St. John-123 and St. Croix-1,660, a total of 3,581 voters territory-wide.

Fawkes expects the number to rise significantly as Early Voting continues. Voters have fifteen days to cast their vote and are encouraged not to wait until the last minute to vote and bring a friend to vote.

Fawkes is reminding voters who are unable to vote during Early Voting or on Election Day they or their representative can obtain an emailed absentee ballot or an absentee ballot from the Elections System Office. Tuesday, Oct. 11, was the last day to request a Mail Out Absentee Ballot.
