The purpose of the meeting is to receive testimony and consider the following legislative measures:

Bill No. 34-0280 — A Resolution honoring and commending Vaughn Benjamin posthumously for his contributions to reggae music and the Virgin Islands and global community.

BLOCK II

10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Bill No. 34-0292 — A Resolution to posthumously honor and commend Rafael Garcia, MD for his outstanding years of service to the Virgin Islands community as a medical doctor and a public servant.

BLOCK III

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Bill No. 34-0297 — A Resolution to posthumously honor and commend Roselin Maud McFarlane for her contributions to the Virgin Islands community and specifically as an advocate of independent living for people with disabilities.

LUNCH 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

BLOCK IV

1:30 – 5 p.m.

The committee will receive testimony on the operations of the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority to include, but not limited to, enabling law and jurisdiction, current agency challenges and a plan of action to resolve challenges.

The committee has scheduled a hearing to receive updates on the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) of all projects and programs related to Hurricane Preparedness for the following agencies: Virgin Islands Fire Emergency Medical Service (VIFEMS) and Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD).

Reporting on the SWOT analysis of all projects and programs related to Hurricane Preparedness for VIFEMS and VIPD.
