Time is winding down to take advantage of the fantastic deals on the 4th Annual Friends of V.I. National Park Online Auction.
The auction has 55 items to choose from, which is more than ever before. The signature event raises funds to support programs and projects in V.I. National Park, and bidding ends this Sunday, December 9, at 9 p.m. local time.
This auction has seen great sponsorship with exceptional items donated as local businesses give back to VINP.
Retail values range from $85 to $10,000 with opening bids only one-third of retail costs. Auction participants have free access to bid on local lodging, goods and services that make St. John special, including hotel and villa packages, dining, clothing, art, jewelry, boat and adventure excursions and more.
Highlights include a seven-night stay at the luxury villa Isla Vista, several other villa and travel packages, a diamond and silver limpet necklace and earring set from R&I Patton, a seven-day bareboat charter on a 52-foot Hylas, gourmet catering, boating, kayak, paddleboard and fishing trips and other adventure excursions, dining, artwork and more.
The online auction is the perfect way to “shop with a cause” and without holiday stress, with 100 percent of proceeds directly benefiting programs that protect, preserve and educate within VINP.
Visitors can build a vacation for a great price, from where to stay to what they will do while on island. The online auction also helps local businesses reach a broad audience while giving back to VINP, which brings so many visitors to the island.
This year’s goal is to raise $30,000 to support Friends of VINP’s mission to protect and preserve the natural and cultural resources of VINP and to promoting the responsible enjoyment of this unique national treasure.
