FirstBank VI’s Cruz Bay branch welcomed Richard Young as its new manager recently.
Young took over as branch manager at the bank’s lone St. John location on October 24. Young spent years in the banking industry in Florida before accepting a post with FirstBank and moving to the territory this year.
Young spent his first few months in the V.I. on St. Thomas, but moved to St. John when he was named branch manager in Cruz Bay.
“We realize the needs of the community here and we are going to make sure that we satisfy those needs,” Young said.
The new branch manager also wants to hear from customers, he added.
“What do you want out of FirstBank,” he said. “I want to hear from our customers and I want to know what they want. I’ll be going door to door too, so keep an eye out for me.”
