Update: Second St. Croix Man Arrested for Involvement in a Kidnapping, Police Say

A second St. Croix man involved in an alleged kidnapping has been arrested and charged, the V.I. Police Department reported Sunday.

Lawton Prince, 37, the brother of Larson Prince, also allegedly involved in this incident, was charged with false imprisonment/kidnapping, assault, mayhem, and unauthorized possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence, the police report stated.

Prince was unable to post bail of $75,000.00 and was remanded to John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending his advice of rights hearing, the police said.

A St. Croix man was arrested for an alleged kidnapping that occurred in November 2021, the V.I Police Department reported Monday.

Larson Prince, 34, of Anna’s Hope, was arrested without incident Saturday and charged with false imprisonment and kidnapping, the police report stated.

On Nov. 12, 2021, a concerned citizen reported to 911 that an unknown male was at her residence seeking help, covered in blood, and handcuffed. The victim told the homeowner that he was kidnapped and beaten, according to the report.

Prince’s bail was set at $75,000. He was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility pending his advice of rights hearing, police said.

An arrest warrant is pending for his brother, Lawston Prince, who is currently off-island, regarding the same incident, according to the police report.
