Mary Eleanor Harrigan Parsons died peacefully at home on Sept. 15. She was 69 years old.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 2, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church followed by interment at Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay.
Mary is survived by her mother, Dorine Webster; step-father, Dudley Webster; husband, Kenneth Parsons; daughters: Erica Parsons, Orisha Parsons and Cheryl Parsons Jacobs; and granddaughters: Makayla Walcott and Calli Jacobs.
She is also survived by siblings: Terrance ‘Shaheed’ Smith, Earlene Smith, Lawrence Webster, Dean Webster, Bernard Smith, Dean Smith, Barbara Smith and Alivern Smith-Harrigan; son-in-law, Cordell Jacobs Jr.; aunts: Audrey Smith-Leonard, Joyce Smith-Fahie and Gloria Smith-Scatliffe; uncle, David Smith; and special cousins: Phyllis Freeman and Elizabeth Collymore.
Other survivors include nieces: Tamika Archer, RueJah Smith, Shamika Smith, Jahila Smith-Blair, Jamila Smith, Shanika Smith, Nia Webster, Leanne Parson Gibbs, Abena McClean Smith, Khania Dawson Burroughs and Shania Dawson Xavier; nephews: Michael Webster, Dominic Parson, Jomo McClean and Ali McClean; as well as many other relatives too numerous to mention.
