Passing Showers in Morning, Mostly Fair in Afternoon

A band of low level moisture will continue to cross the region and may bring brief passing showers to the local area. Mostly fair skies are expected by this afternoon. East-southeast winds are forecast for today at 10-15 miles per hour with some gusty conditions along the coastal areas.

Seas averaging three feet will prevail into the upcoming weekend. A northerly swell, set to arrive on Sunday, may increase seas in the offshore Atlantic waters to six feet. Easterly winds are expected at 10-15 knots (12-17 miles per hour).

There is a moderate risk of rip currents for some of the north and east-facing beaches of the Virgin Islands.
