Romeo Malone, known as “Mr. Rome” to some, “Uncle Romi” to others and “The Mayor of Savan” to the community, died on Monday, Oct. 3, peacefully at the young age of 99.
He is survived by his sons: Toya Malone and Nana Ofori-Atta; and his brother, Verne Malone of El Paso, Texas.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Nisky Moravian Church. The viewing will begin at 9 a.m. with the service to follow at 10 a.m. Interment will be cremation.
