Sunday morning, multiple ShotSpotter notifications of shots fired in the La Reine area of St. Croix were reported. Shortly following that notification, reports of two gunshot victims at the Juan F. Luis Hospital were received by the VIPD emergency call center, according to police.
Police stated that they made contact with the victims who said that they were at Corner Pocket Grillhouse and Night Club to watch a boxing match. When the fight was over, the victims stated they left the area and just before they got to the entrance of Corner Pocket, their vehicle came under gunfire.
Both victims stated that they did not have any issues with anyone while at the establishment and they did not see who fired the shots or know where the shots came from, said VIPD.
According to police, the driver drove straight to the hospital where both victims were treated for multiple gunshot wounds. Both are in stable condition, police said.
