Glowing with holiday spirit, St. Thomas’ Veterans Drive is alive with 10,000 twinkling lights. Stretching from the Legislature Building to Lucinda Millin intersection. Nearly 100 palm trees along the waterfront are decorated to spread holiday magic, according to a press release.

For the third year, “Deck the Palms” is a gift to the community from the Office of the
Governor and Oriental Bank. The palm-lined highway, bedecked with festive solar
fairy lights, welcomes Virgin Islanders and visitors to the holiday season on St.
Thomas, according to the press release.

“This beautiful stretch of highway along our waterfront is becoming the holiday center of
the island.” Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. said. “We thank Oriental for their vision in creating
this spectacle, and MSI companies for adding the magical reindeer at the Yacht Haven
Grande Intersection. We invite the public to take a drive or a stroll and get in the holiday
spirit for the many celebrations coming up.”

“We are happy to ignite holiday spirit by decking the waterfront palms and spreading
joy to the community. We wish everyone a light and bright holiday season and a
promising and joyful new year. Good tidings to all,” said Co-sponsor Oriental USVI Regional Manager Attallah Bertrand-Rogers.
