Administrator of Courts Regina Petersen advises the public and members of the Virgin Islands Bar Association that the Supreme Court of the Virgin Islands will resume hearing all oral arguments scheduled for the Oct. 12 session and, thereafter, in its courtroom at Crown Bay, St. Thomas.

Courtroom access will be limited to the justices, essential court personnel and counsel in the scheduled cases. Members of the V.I. Bar Association are further advised that remote appearances will not be permitted without a medical doctor’s certification prohibiting travel to St. Thomas, V.I.

The court will continue to provide live audio and video coverage of all oral arguments for the benefit of the parties, public and press.

Out of concern for the health and safety of the public and Supreme Court employees, the Courtroom sessions will not be open to the public. The court will continue to closely monitor public health guidance in determining future plans.
