Three days of activities — all free and open to the public — are planned starting Jan. 2 to commemorate the re-election of Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. and Lt. Gov. Tregenza Roach, the Gubernatorial Inaugural Committee has announced.

Tickets to the inaugural balls on St. Thomas on Jan. 2 and St. Croix on Jan. 4 are free but on a first-come, first-served basis, starting at noon on Monday, Dec. 26, until all spaces are filled, the committee said in a press release announcing the events.

On St. Thomas, the official swearing-in ceremony, followed by a military parade, commences at 10 30 a.m. on Jan. 2 at Emancipation Garden, according to the release. A reception will follow at 2 p.m. at Fort Christian, and the Legacy Inaugural Ball will be held starting at 7 p.m. at Yacht Haven Grande.

Shuttle service will be provided to the evening gala from the Schneider Regional Medical Center and Fort Christian parking lots, the release stated.

On Jan. 3 at noon, St. John will welcome the governor and lieutenant governor at the Frank Powell Sr. Park in Cruz Bay, with a reception at Meada’s Garden at 2 p.m.

On Jan. 4, St. Croix’s events begin in Frederiksted, with a military parade at 11 a.m., followed by a ceremony at noon at Buddhoe Park. An open house at Arthur Abel Complex is at 2 p.m. The inaugural ball, at 8 p.m., will be held at the Polo Grounds, Estate Cane Garden, Christiansted, according to the release.

The official swearing-in ceremony on Jan. 2 will be carried live from St. Thomas by WTJX-TV at 10:30 a.m. and will be live-streamed on several radio stations, and on facebook.com/bryanroach2022, youtube@bryanroach2022, and on the Government Access cable TV channel 27.

Because of limited seating capacity, church services on each island are by invitation only, without exception, but will be live-streamed on several radio stations, on facebook.com/bryanroach2022, youtube@bryanroach2022, and on the Government Access cable TV channel 27 as follows: Jan. 2 at 8 a.m., Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral, St. Thomas; Jan. 3 at 9 a.m., Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, St. John; and Jan. 4 at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, St. Croix.
