Veronica E. Tyson Dies at 75

Veronica E. Tyson

Veronica E. Tyson, also known as “Etta” or “Mas. Vee,” of Estate TanTan Terrace died on Nov. 24. She was 75 years old.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maisy Tyson; and father, Ernest Smithen.

She is survived by her husband. Samuel Tyson; daughters: Bernadette Tyson and Sandra Tyson; sons: Samuel Tyson and Colin Tyson; and grandchildren: Jenelle Francis, Jamel Francis, Jamoy Francis, Javon Duparl, Janesia Dupral, Colinia Tyson, Kori Tyson, A’aron Tyson, Marcus Tyson, Grace Tyson, Esha Skepple, La-Shawn Tyson and La-Quan Tyson.

She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Jahni Francis, Jahnesia Francis, Jaynira Francis, Jahriel Francis, Jahmal Francis, Jahmar Francis, Ja’myla Duparl, Jamirah Dupral, Madison Norgaisse, Mason Gomes, Nyala, and Iani; sisters: Marilyn Walters, Glennis Tyson, Margret Griffin, Celia Smithen, Maureen Ramsingh and Clara Smithen; brothers: Rupert Sage, Mervin Sage Sr., Ernie Stapleton, Randolph Smithen, Dave Arthurton and Keithroy Tyson; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The family requests that those in attendance wear blue.

The viewing will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Miracle Revival Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
