VI Council on the Arts Now Accepting Grant Applications for American Rescue Plan

Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources has announced that the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts (VICA) is currently accepting grant applications for the American Rescue Plan 2021 Grant. Applications are now open online at www.vicouncilonarts.org until Oct. 15.

This grant provides funds for COVID-related costs to established art organizations, such as: salary support, fees/stipends for contractual personnel, facilities costs such as rent and utilities, costs associated with health and safety supplies for staff and visitors, and costs associated with marketing and promotion.

Eligible, established art organizations must: be in existence and active in the V.I. for a minimum of two years at the time of application; must have an active DUNS number registered on www.SAM.gov; must have current non-profit status registered in the Office of the Lieutenant Governor; must submit an organization’s W-9 form; must have a tax exemption identification number; and must have submitted a final report form if previously funded by VICA.
