VIDOH Announces Availability of Pediatric COVID-19 Boosters

The Virgin Islands Department of Health announced that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has expanded the eligibility of COVID-19 vaccine boosters to everyone age five and older. The pediatric boosters are recommended for children ages 5 through 11 five months after their Pfizer vaccination series.

Pediatric boosters are available at the Community Vaccine Center on St. Croix at the Charles Harwood Memorial Complex, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Appointments are recommended due to the size restriction of the CVC space. Appointments can be made by calling 340-777-8227. On St. Thomas, pediatric boosters are available at the Maternal And Child Health clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please telephone for an appointment at 340-777-8227. Pediatric boosters are available on St. John on Wednesdays at the Virgin Islands Port Authority gravel lot from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Parents and guardians are reminded to bring an ID for themselves and the child and the child’s birth certificate.
