V.I. Department of Labor (VIDOL) Commissioner Gary Molloy reminds the public that as an essential agency, the DOL is not closed or shutdown and continues the day to day operations required to maintain benefits and services for those in need.

The only operational change is the suspension of in-person lobby service for the next two weeks, per the governor’s executive order.

The staff will continue to process applications and claims during this period. Claimants are encouraged to call, email or utilize the document dropbox options.

Additionally, claimants can utilize the Integrated Voice Response System (IVR) by calling 715-5744 and using their assigned PIN number to check on the status of their claim.  The last mail-out of benefit payments was made on Nov. 24, and checks are mailed out weekly on or before the Friday of each week.
