The Virgin Islands Port Authority advises travelers to arrive at least 2 ½ to 3 hours prior to their flight departure times if traveling via the Cyril E. King Airport (CEKA) today. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has reported that it is experiencing technical difficulties with one of its screening machines. As a result, the passenger screening process may take longer than usual, and longer lines are expected.

VIPA also advises the public that there has been an increase in travelers at the airport.

Arriving early for all flights is highly recommended. Travelers are also encouraged to check with their airlines before arriving at the airport for any announcements regarding delays or changes to their flight itineraries.

In addition, Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA) reminds the public of the ongoing construction of a multi-level parking and transportation center at CEKA. Travelers are advised to arrange to be dropped off and picked up when traveling via CEKA due to limited parking spaces during the construction of the parking garage.
