The Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) along with VI Fire Services will now include an additional sandbag distribution event on Saturday, Aug. 7.
VI Fire Service personnel will distribute filled sandbags for all residents from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Residents are limited to a maximum of six filled sandbags per household; sandbags are available only to residents who have not previously received them.
Locations for drive-thru Saturday distribution are:
St. Croix
- Cotton Valley Fire Station
St. Thomas
- Omar Brown Sr. Fire Station (Barbel Plaza)
St. John
- Coral Bay Fire Station
Following the guidelines recommended by the V.I. Department of Health, all sandbags will be loaded into personal vehicles by VIFS personnel in adherence to COVID-19 protocol. Masks are to be worn by all recipients.
